Writer Stephen King: If You Can’t Read, You’ll End Up in the Army or Iraq

Newsbusters is reporting that the following was told to a group of high school students at the Library of Congress by author Stephen King:

I don’t want to sound like an ad, a public service ad on TV, but the fact is if you can read, you can walk into a job later on. If you don’t, then you’ve got, the Army, Iraq, I don’t know, something like that. It’s, it’s not as bright. So, that’s my little commercial for that.

Always remember, Stephen, those who can - do. Those who can’t - teach. Those who are too stupid to teach become road kill… Remember this, fellow truckers, especially those former military, next time you pop in a Stephen King book on tape/CD.
